Client Objectives

Nine Entertainment Co. (Nine) is a leading multi-platform media network engaging audiences across news, business and finance, lifestyle, entertainment and sport. Nine occupied multiple tenancies in the media wing of the Australian Parliament House (APH), which were disconnected, dated, and had varying standards of fit-out. The brief was to co-locate the broadcast and print business units into a contemporary, collaborative and technology-rich workspace with technically specialised spaces, including:

  • Broadcast Studio
  • Talent Operated Studio
  • Edit Suites
  • Media Exchange Gateway
  • Communications Room

LPC Project Services were engaged to provide project management consulting services for all aspects of the refit works, including the integration of information technology and broadcasting. APH is designed to last 200 years; the role included extensive consultation with:

  • The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS)
  • The Parliamentary Security Department (PSD)
  • The Moral Rights and Design Integrity Stakeholders
